The Womens Movement Essay - 2095 Words

The Women’s Movement The women’s rights movement was a huge turning point for women because they had succeeded in the altering of their status as a group and changing their lives of countless men and women. Gender, Ideology, and Historical Change: Explaining the Women’s Movement was a great chapter because it explained and analyzed the change and causes of the women’s movement. Elaine Tyler May’s essay, Cold War Ideology and the Rise of Feminism and Women’s Liberation and Sixties Radicalism by Alice Echols both gave important but different opinions and ideas about the women’s movement. Also, the primary sources reflect a number of economic, cultural, political, and demographic influences on the women’s movement. This chapter†¦show more content†¦In her essay she relates the rise of feminist consciousness in the 1960s to numerous changes in American society, especially the rise of other protest movements. Echols said, â€Å"On September 7, 1968, the sixties came to that most apple-pie of American institutions, the Miss America Pageant† (Echols, 308). The reason she said this was because one hundred women’s liberation activists descended upon Atlantic City to protest the pageant’s promotion of physical attractiveness as the primary measure of women’s worth. From there, the protestors set up a â€Å"Freedom Trash Can† and filled it with high-heeled shoes, bras, girdles, hair curlers, false eyelashes, typing books, and representative copies of Cosmopolitan, Playboy, and Ladies Home Journal. They wanted to burn the contents but couldn’t because of the laws for bonfires on the boardwalk. Also, word had been leaked to the press that there would be a symbolic bra-burning. However, there were no bras burnt that day. But the image of the bra-burning, militant feminists remains part of our popular mythology about the women’s liberation movement. The Miss Ame rica demonstration represents an important moment in the history of the sixties as well as the women’s movement (Echols, 309-310). Although the women’s liberation movement only began to take shape toward the end of the decade, it was a quintessentially sixties movement. The women’s liberation movement alone carried on and extended into the 1970s thatShow MoreRelatedThe Womens Movement1533 Words   |  7 PagesThe Womens Movement To have drunkards, idiots, horse racing rum-selling rowdies, ignorant foreigners, and silly boys fully recognized, while we ourselves are thrust out from all the rights that belong to citizens, is too grossly insulting to be longer quietly submitted to. There are research title, background, research aim and objectives, and research question of the research study (Awa, et al., 2015). This chapter is significant to critically analysis the challenges to start e-commerce website and ways to effectively operate with the support of available information. It is a significant tool to identify the relevant information with respect to a current research problem that will support to develop the framework. The results of this section support to build the effective primary research and identifying the lack of exiting information. This section helps to researchers to identify the tools and techniques that will be essential to collect the information and evaluate the data. At the same time, evaluated data will be beneficial to obtain the reliable result in less time and cost (Bredzel-Skowera, et al., 2015). This section involves the presentation, discussion, and evaluation of the collected secondary data and provides the effective findings in terms of the research objective. This section is last part of the research and it demonstrates the summary of overall conducting data analysis, which is emphasized on the objectives of the research. Afterward, it will also offer some recommendations to overcome the future challenges. According to Chaffey (2015)the e-commerce is the way the way of buy and sold product and services and transferring of data by using the electronic network. This kind of business dealing occur as B2B (business-to-business), B2C (business-to-consumer), C2C (consumer-to-consumer), and C2B (consumer-to-business).Additionally, the word e-business and e-commerce are interchangeable. It is also stated that the e-mail is used by the entrepreneur and customers as a transactional way in the online shopping. At the same time, the e-commerce includes some significant factors such as email, shopping carts, online catalogs, EDI, web services, and File Transfer Protocol. Moreover, it is also illustrated that an organization as used business-to-business to directly communicate with customers regarding the selling of goods and services significantly. On the other hand, Chiu et al. (2014) viewed that organization has tried to more focus on directly communicate with consumers due to collecting the actual experience and information towards the product and services. Therefore, an organization has used some significant kinds of techniques to collect fresh data by consumers like social media marketing, targeted advertisements, and. digital coupons, In support of this, Chivasa et al. (2016) explained that e-commerce is beneficial in many ways such as time-saving, a variety of products and services for the consumers, easily accessible, and global reach. At the same time, there are also some significant disadvantages includes narrow consumer services, customers are enabled to touch the goods and services before buy, and specified time period for the shipping of the product. Faloye (2014) argued that enhancement in the uses of e-commerce forces to the IT workers to improve the infrastructure design to maintain the confidential data of consumers due to make a positive relationship with customers in long-term. Along with this, at the time of the development of IT systems expertise considers some significant factors such as data control related to the supervisory compliance mandates, information protection protocols, and personally recognizable information due to enhancing the stability of company in the market. To address the challenges to start e-commerce website: In the context of Elcom According to the Galliers et al. (2014) the most problem which is faced by the organization at the time of using the online shopping is that the tools and techniques, and customers trends are always unstable. It is also stated that an organization can operate the online shopping by evaluating the technology at the particular time. At the same time, it can be illustrated that in case any new venture is not able to regulate its strategy in line by changing tool and developments. Consequently, it can decline the opportunity to boost the incomes and profitability of the organization. In oppose to this, Ga?uszka (2014) examined that the existence of online trade relied on the satisfaction of online consumers. A satisfied consumer will direct to repeat the buyers enhancing the profitability of an organization. But, at the same time, it also addressed that the maintenance of the satisfaction level cannot be an easy task for the company. It is also addressed that the satisfaction level of consumers can be increased by making a positive relationship with them, which can be possible by direct communication with consumers. At the same time, it is also found that online customers are intelligent therefore they require new strategies and methods for online shopping. At the same time, a large number of the organization has provided 24/7 customer service, easy return policy, and free delivery to their customers to make a favorable relationship in long-term. It can also satisfy more customers in less time and cost. On the other side, Hamari et al. (2014) explained that the tracking and shipping are also a major task for the organization. It is vital for the organization due to improving the performance of the business. Additionally, it is also explained that delay in the delivery of product and services can create the dissatisfaction among the consumers. An organization has made a strategy to deliver the product and services at the specified time due to satisfying more customers in long-term. Moreover, delay in the delivery can simply direct to the consumer service misadventure which will have an unfavorable impact on the image of consumer services. Therefore, it is also stated that in case an organization should maintain the customers relationship by enhancing the level of satisfaction effectively. To recommend the ways to effectively operate: In the context of Elcom Technology, Australia. According to Kim et al. (2015) an effective e-commerce business relies on the significant planning and unified implementation to accomplish the business goal together with consumer expectations. Elcom Technology should use some significant approaches to meet the business goals and overcome the challenges of e-commerce. In support to this, Kurnia et al. (2015) examined that an organization has prepared the defined operational approaches in online shopping to enhance the probability of growth. Additionally, it is also stated that enhancement in the sales volume and fulfillment of customer orders can be supportive to meet the organization goal successfully. On the other side, Lin et al. (2014) explained that strong e-commerce operational management is significant to improve the performance of an organization in long-term. In addition, it is also stated that an e-commerce strategy is supportive to maintain the information about the warehouse and logistics process for the smoothly fulfillment of goal and more efficiency. According to the Mackey et al. (2015) explained that consumers are the main factor due to making a successful brand. It is also stated that in case an organization has offered an effective e-commerce service to potential customers then it can create the positive relationship in long-term. At the same time, it can also be examined that defined e-commerce can also be essential to enhance the stability of organization in long-term. This section of research proposal involves some significant approaches and techniques like research study philosophy, research approaches, research design, and data collection ways. It enabled to obtain appropriate information for significantly resolving the research problems. The main aims of this section are to increase the depth understanding regarding the challenges to start e-commerce website and ways to effectively operate. In addition, it can also be said that many articles have been included in the study due to making a balance between the research subject and collected data. Additionally, the clear methods also improve the research quality, and reliability through numerous sources observations (Maity, et al., 2014). Research philosophy is significant to develop the logical reasoning for gathering, evaluating and operating data in the research study. The main purpose of research philosophy is to reproduce and apply the values and opinion of the investigator. Additionally, the values and opinions operate as a basis for research approaches. The structure of research philosophy comprises of interpretivism and positivism philosophies. The selection of the research philosophy fully relies on practical implication of the investigation. Additionally, the positivism philosophy is mainly concentrated on the valid information collected by observation (Mata, et al., 2014). For this philosophy, a researcher cannot consider the interests of people to collect the data. In contrast, the interpretivism philosophy enabled the researcher to evaluate and understand each phase of the research. In addition, it can be said that a researcher can use the interpretivism philosophy due to improving the research quality significantly. The main reason to select this philosophy is that it is associated with the logical position of perfectionism, which is significant in setting each approach of the group (MENDOZA, et al., 2015). Additionally, it can also be said that in this study a researcher has a need to collect subjective information that can be collected by using the interpretivism philosophy. At the same time, it can also significant to keep these clarifications as a portion of methodological knowledge. Research Approach Research approach plays a significant role in the research methodology due to explaining the reason to select the particular research process. The research approach is a combination of two kinds of factors such as inductive and deductive approach. The Inductive approach is applied to analyze the depth evaluation of the collected data together with generating the conceptual framework regarding the research problem. In contrast, the deductive approach is applied to set the hypothetical origination. As per the hypothetical design, a researcher has abled to accept and reject the investigation process in the context of research issue (Merriam, et al., 2015). In this research, a researcher can use the inductive approach due to the subjective nature of research. Moreover, it is associated with the interpretivism philosophy. Therefore, it can be said that there is no requirement of the hypothesis formulation. Thus, a researcher has used the inductive research rather than deductive approach. In contrast, a researcher has used the inductive approach with respect to gathering the huge volume of information regarding the challenges to start e-commerce website and ways to effectively operate in the context of the Elcom technology in Australia. This research approach is appropriate to identify the different values and opinions to successfully summarize the findings. In contrast, a researcher has not used the deductive approach due to lack of facts and figures of the research study (Neuman, et al., 2014). Research Design A research design can be also beneficial to the researcher due to defining the whole research structure significantly. By using the research design, a researcher has enabled to get the appropriate way in creating the understanding regarding the research phenomenon for collecting the significant and valid information. Additionally, it supports the researcher to make an effective planning process and also supports to obtain the appropriate information regarding the research issue. Research design comprises two kinds of research design, which can be used by the research to successfully accomplish the research task like quantitative and qualitative method. Additionally, the quantitative research is based on the numerical facts and figures through statistical techniques and approaches. In contrast, qualitative research enabled the investigator to create ideas and assumption to make the base of quantitative research (Permwanichagun, et al., 2014). It enabled the research scholar to create the depth understating regarding the research issue at the same time helps to collect the complete information and appropriate solutions. A researcher can use the qualitative research for this researcher because the nature of research subject is exploratory. It supports to make a clear picture regarding the whole research issue due to collect the suitable information about the research significantly. Furthermore, qualitative approach supports the researcher in evaluating the human nature and identifying the factors that directly influence the human behavior. For this research study, the investigator has kept the objectivity and tried to conduct the exact measurements due to fulfilling the research objectives significantly (Saini, 2017).; Research Strategy The research strategy plays an imperative role in the research to analyze the ways of data collection and obtain an appropriate outcome. There are some significant kinds of a research strategy that will be used by the researcher to complete the research in an effective manner. These research strategies are such as literature review, case study, focus group, and survey. In this research study, a researcher can use the case study regarding the challenges faced by the company during the beginning e-commerce website due to overcoming the challenges of e-commerce website development. From using this strategy, a researcher is enabled to evaluate the previous phenomenon related to the research problem. Moreover, the researcher has used the case study due to evaluating the particular research problem within the limitations of the company (Padgett, 2016). In addition to this, a researcher has used the descriptive case study due to describing the main phenomenon related to the research. In contrast, the researcher has also used the literature review because of accomplishing the aims and objectives of the research. Furthermore, a researcher has used many secondary sources like annual report, journal articles, online sites, reference books, and magazines due to getting the depth information regarding the research issues. It is because; the literature review supports to create the conceptual framework regarding the challenges to start e-commerce website as well as support to obtain the appropriate outcome. Moreover, it can be said that these approaches are enabled the research scholar to improve the reliability and validity of outcomes effectively (Smith, et al., 2015). Data Collection Method Data collection method is also imperative to meet the objectives and aim of research because it facilitated the research scholar to gather the facts and figures significantly. The data collection method is a combination of two kinds of factors like primary and secondary method. Primary data collection method is new or fresh data that is collected by focus group, interview, questionnaire, and observation (Westermann-Behaylo, et al., 2015). In contrast, the secondary data is collected by using the collected primary data. Additionally, there are some significant sources such as books, case study, journals, offline sources, and online sources to collect the data regarding the research subject. At the same time, other sources are a financial report of company, magazine, and newspapers. In this research, a researcher has used the secondary data collection method to obtain the accurate outcome related to the research subject. At the same time, it can also be said that the data collection method is also significant due to obtaining the outcome in less time and cost. Moreover, the secondary data is included the literature review and case study because of making the valid and reliable research study (Stage, et al., 2015). Sampling Procedure The sampling method is used to select the sample from a large number of populations in order to get the feasible information. The sampling procedure includes two kinds of methods such as probability and non-probability methods. The researcher has used the probability method to get the equal chance to participate in the research study. In contrast, the non-probability sampling is used as a non-random sampling method because researchers are not able to provide an equal chance to the respondents in the research. A researcher has used non-probability method due to subjective nature of research. For this research, the sample size is chosen by the investigator on behalf of their personal decision and conveniences. At the same time, it can also be said that a research has used non-probability sampling through purposive sampling because the sample size is selected by research decision as well as helps to meet the objectives of the research (Tayan, 2017). Data Analysis Data analysis is also a significant part of the research methodology due to enabling the researcher to obtain a reliable and valid result. There are some significant kinds of methods that are used by the researchers to successfully evaluate the data like Excel, content analysis, and SPSS. At the same time, these methods are depending on the conventional, summative, and directed approach. In this research study, the researcher has used the content analysis to evaluate the collected data due to getting the accurate and effective results. The content analysis is relevant to the interpretivism philosophy, therefore, a researcher has used this method. At the same time, it also depends on the qualitative research where the content analysis is appropriate to get an accurate outcome (Taylor, et al., 2015). Conclusion From the above discussion, it can be concluded that an organization can face many issues at the time of start any e-business in Australia. Additionally, it can also be summarized that the interpretivism philosophy is used due to getting the accurate outcome in less time and cost. In addition, the nature of the research is subjective in nature, therefore, the mixed data collection method will be used for this research. Finally, it can be concluded that statistical analysis tool will be used to meet the objectives of the research.; References Abed, S. S., Dwivedi, Y. K., Williams, M. D. (2015). A Critique of Angelas Ashes Essay Example For Students

A Critique of Angelas Ashes Essay Mrs. SingletaryIt is a frequent view that times for the Irish majority in the 1930s and 40s were very hard. Especially for the Irish Catholic families with the stereotypical drunken father, emotionally ruined mother, kids running around her with her a sore back from the next child to be born. In Angelas Ashes, Frank McCourt examines his childhood experiences, the tragedies, hardships, and learning involved with growing up. One of the most interesting aspects of the writing in Angelas Ashes is how the text is written, from McCourts interpretation of the situation at his age that he was at the time, the spelling and grammar also indicate that the child is writing, not the adult. This contributes greatly to the emotions and enjoyment evoked from reading the book. It also better describes how a child actually sees the things that are going on around them, and what they may be thinking. Personally, sometimes it has made me think for a while about how I interpreted things I saw when I was that age, and the fun I had being a kid. McCourt describes his brothers and sister, even the ones that died, and how much he enjoyed growing up with them, how they cared and loved for each other. Because of the appalling quarters they lived in and the lack of money and food there was terminal illnesses in the family, which proved fatal to some of his siblings. McCourt in his childlike writing style describes how his sibling s and he, interpret whats happened and how they see their parents reacting. McCourt also analyzes how his young brother Malachy looks up to him, and how much he takes Malachy under his wing and takes care of him. Parenting is said to be one of the hardest tasks out there today, especially sole parenting. McCourt carefully examines his mother, how she copes with her drunken husband, how her cousins who married gentlemen are constantly trying to run her life, and how she acts as a woman. His father, The Irish drunk who is constantly making him and his brother swear their lives for Ireland and singing Roddy McCorley and Kevin Barry after a night at the pub, and how he will tell him stories about Old Irish folklore and get sacked from job after job. As Frank progresses into adolescence, he explores the feelings and changes that he goes through. Such topics as sexuality, puberty, religion, and drinking are investigated and the outcomes are dealt with. It could be said that all adolescent males should read this book for the reason only, what to avoid in growing up through the teen years. While this part of the book is humorous at times, it still strongly reinforces the point of a dysfunctional family and the effects if has on children. The child-like writing style really makes the book pleasant and can make the reader laugh or cry at the childs interpretation of the situation. It does however take some getting used to and sometimes reading again to make sense of words to understand what is actually happening. Also the lack of punctuation makes it difficult to tell who is speaking and what I said all together. But by a quarter of the way through the book you will be used to this and notice how suddenly words are spelled correctly, or are spelled incorrectly but in a different way. This aspect while not being a great one seems necessary to add to the style of writing. The guts of the book are the humor and style of writing, and it would appeal to those who wish for a book to summon forth emotions or humor, sadness and reflections on personal child experiences. It also shows how Frank McCourt was a rock for his family. He was a steady foundation for his family to lean on. He never gave up on life through all his adversity. In the end, Frank wonders how he survived it all. Well, he survived because he adapted to what society threw him. He became socialized even though his role was to drink away his life.He became the real man of the family, and he did his best to save his family from the inevitable. .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .postImageUrl , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:hover , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:visited , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:active { border:0!important; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:active , .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2 .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uced694f9b45b343303122d34c985fef2:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Food Waste Essay

Spinal Essays - Irregular Bones, Skeletal System, Vertebrate Anatomy

Spinal Injuries Spinal injuries are a very serious, and even life-threatening, problem facing almost everyone at some point in there lives. If a broken vertebra pinches a spinal nerve, paralysis may result. The spine is a column of vertebrae stacked one on the next from the skull's base to the tail bone. Each vertebra is hollow through the center where the spinal cord runs through. There are some signs and symptoms that you should check for if you suspect spinal injury on an injured person. Head injuries may indicate that the head may have been snapped in one of more directions. If the victim is conscious, ask them if they feel a pain when they move their arms or legs. Also, the victim may feel numbness, tingling, weakness, or burning in their arms of legs. They may also lose control of their bowls or bladder. However, deformity or an odd looking angle of the head serves as the best clue to a serious spinal injury. If the victim is unconscious, you should check for cuts, bruises and deformities; that may serve as a good clue to spinal injuries. You should also test their responses by pinching their hands and feet. If no reaction occurs, spinal injury is likely. The first and most important thing you should do is keep the victim immobile at all times. The only exeption to that would be if the victim is in a dangerous place such a burning building or car. The second first aid procedure you should administer would be monitoring the breathing by using a "jaw thrust." Be sure to keep the head and neck still. Victims usually required a neck splint, but one should not be put on by you. It takes at least two trained EMS people to put a neck brace on. Since you can not put on a brace, you should stabilize their neck by putting objects on both sides of the neck. Float the victim gently to shore and place them on a backboard in the water if they are in water. The only real precaution that you should take to avoid a spinal injury is to think before you act. Don't do anything risky that may put you into a situation like this; that includes lifting thing that may be too heavy for you to lift safely. One mistake and you could be in a wheelchair or a bed for the rest of your life. -Fifteen to twenty percent of head injury victims also have neck or spinal cord injuries -The spine is made up of thirty three cylindrical bones. -The cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacrum, and coccyx are the main parts of the vertebrae. (Lumbar is the most commonly injured.)

Signs of Teacher Bullying

Signs of Teacher Bullying The majority of teachers genuinely care about their students. Although they may have the occasional bad day, they are kind, fair, and supportive. However, almost everyone who has been a student in a public or private school classroom has experienced mean teachers. In some cases, the alleged mean behavior is merely a personality conflict between the teacher and student. In other cases, a teacher’s irritability may result from burnout, personal or work-related stress, or a mismatch between his teaching and the students learning style. However, there are cases where the mean behavior crosses the line, and the teacher becomes the classroom bully. What Is Teacher Bullying? In an anonymous survey whose results were published in 2006, psychologist Stuart Twemlow noted that 45% of the teachers surveyed admitted to having bullied a student. The survey defined teacher bullying as: â€Å"...a teacher who uses his/her power to punish, manipulate or disparage a student beyond what would be a reasonable disciplinary procedure.† Teachers may bully students for several reasons. One is a lack of training in proper discipline techniques. Failure to arm teachers with an arsenal of appropriate, effective disciplinary strategies may result in feelings of frustration and helplessness. These feelings can cause teachers to resort to intimidation tactics. Teachers who feel bullied in the classroom by students may be more likely to bully in retaliation. Finally, teachers who experienced childhood bullying may turn to those tactics in the classroom. Parents or school administrators usually address physical altercations between students and teachers. However, behaviors such as verbal, mental, or psychological abuse may be less likely to be reported by the victim or fellow students and teachers. Conduct that may cross the line and be considered bullying include: Belittling or intimidating a studentSingling out one student for punishment or ridiculeHumiliating or shaming students in front of classmatesYelling at a student or group of studentsUsing racial or religious slurs or other forms of belittling a student based on gender, race, religion, or sexual orientationSarcastic comments or jokes about a studentPublic criticism of a childs workConsistently assigning poor grades to one student on objective assignments or projects If your child complains about any of these behaviors, look for other signs of teacher bullying. Signs to Watch For Many children won’t report abuse to parents or other teachers due to embarrassment, fear of retaliation, or concern that no one will believe them. Minority or special needs children may be more likely to fall victim to teacher bullying. Surprisingly, high-performing students may be at increased risk of harassment by insecure teachers who feel intimidated. Because children may not report teacher bullying, it’s important to pay attention to clues that it may be happening. Look for these signs that your childs teacher is a bully: Unexplainable ailments. One telling clue is a child who used to enjoy school suddenly making excuses to stay home. He may complain of stomach aches, headaches, or other vague ailments to avoid going to school. Complaints about the teacher. Some children may complain about a teacher being mean. Often, this complaint is nothing more than a personality conflict or a teacher who is more strict or demanding than your child would like. However, ask questions and look for subtle clues that may indicate a more severe situation. Ask your child to explain how the teacher is mean or give specific examples. Inquire if other kids feel the same. Pay particular attention if the complaints about the teacher being mean include him or her yelling at, humiliating, or belittling  your child (or others). Changes in your child’s behavior. Look for changes in behavior. Victims of teacher bullying may have angry outbursts at home or temper tantrums before or after school. They may appear withdrawn, moody, or clingy. Negativity toward self or schoolwork. Pay attention to self-deprecating comments or  excessively critical  statements about the quality of their schoolwork. If your child is usually a good student and suddenly starts complaining that he can’t do the work or his best efforts aren’t good enough, this could be a tell-tale sign of classroom bullying. Take note if your child’s grades start dropping. What to Do If You Suspect a Teacher Is Bullying Your Child Parents may be somewhat reluctant to report bullying behaviors. They often fear making the situation worse for their child. However, if a teacher is bullying your child, it is vital that you take action. Support your child. First, talk to and support your child, but do so calmly. Angry, threatening, explosive behavior may frighten your child even though you’re not mad at her.  Let her know that you believe her.  Normalize the situation and assure your child that  you will take action to stop the bullying behavior.  Ã‚   Document all incidents. Keep detailed written records of all bullying incidents. List the time and date of the incident. Describe exactly what happened or what was said and who was involved. List the names of any other teachers, students, or parents who witnessed the encounter. Understand what legally constitutes bullying in your state. Check bullying laws by state  so that you understand what actions are considered bullying. Investigate how the school is expected to address such conflicts.  Many states bullying laws are focused on students bullying other students, rather than teachers bullying students, but the information you uncover may be useful in your situation. Meet with the teacher. Depending on the severity of the bullying, schedule a meeting with your child’s  teacher. Speak to him or her  calmly and respectfully. Give her the opportunity to explain  her perspective. There may be  reasons that she appears to be singling out your student and coming across as mean or angry. Perhaps there are  behavioral issues or personality conflicts that you, your child, and his teacher can discuss and resolve.   Ask around. Ask other parents if their children have similar complaints about the teacher. Ask other teachers if they know of any problems with your child and his teacher or have concerns about the teachers behavior in general. Follow the  chain of command. If you are still concerned about the actions of your child’s teacher after speaking with her  and other parents and teachers, follow the chain of command until the situation is addressed and satisfactorily resolved. First, talk to the principal. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the school superintendent or the school board. Consider your options. Sometimes, the best action is to request a transfer for your child to a different classroom. In extreme cases, if the school administration is not adequately addressing bullying situation, you may want to consider  transferring your child to a different public school, moving to private school, homeschooling  (even if homeschooling isn’t a long-term solution), or online schooling.

Financial services accessibility Research Proposal

Financial services accessibility - Research Proposal Example This paper shall mostly be a discussion of the relationship between people and finance, in terms of governments’ failures in managing the country’s wealth. In general, this essay shall be founded on the assumption that access to financial services is a development opportunity to many people when the government is unable or does not provide support to communities. This essay shall discuss the current situation in terms of financial services accessibility, the impact of government failures, and solutions to improving accessibility and development opportunity. Aims: What exactly do you want to achieve? Why? For this dissertation, I want to make an informative determination of the government and the roles it plays in the management of financial services for the people. Specifically, it seeks to: Determine the role of the government in financial services Regulatory and legislative impact of its actions The impact of regulation on the growth and development of the country in general Hypothesis: A testable claim or tentative solution to the research puzzle This study hypothesizes that the government has a significant role in the financial services of the people through its regulations as well as legislative acts. The government also has a significant role in the growth and development of these financial services and eventually, the access and progress of the citizens availing of these financial services. Research questions: questions whose answers will help you prove or falsify your hypothesis. These are the key issues you would investigate during your PhD. This study seeks to determine whether or not the government has a significant impact on the following: Financial services accessibility Financial services regulation Growth and development stemming from these financial services. Theoretical framework: A statement and justification of the conceptual tool that you will use to analyse your evidence. The theoretical framework referring to the governmentâ €™s impact on the financial markets indicates that government actions within the financial system include regulation, intervention and personal business needs. Securing sufficient regulations includes the process of aligning the different political processes, managing the economy alongside the basic roles of a financial intermediary within a monetary economic system. Standard and exceptional intervention can be evaluated via standard and active monetary regulation policy processes used to impact on specific macroeconomic parameters including inflation, exchange, as well as interest rates via exceptional and specific interventions. Government financing requisites can be numerically evaluated via international stock exchanges. The financial system is also an industry, one which is more important especially as money is the foundation or basis for the financial operations. In effect, financial markets and services must function well in order for industries to operate well and the go vernment is tasked with ensuring that the financial systems and markets are functioning well Sources/Resources required: What evidence or data do you need to find? Evidence or data needed would mostly be discussions from various authors on their analysis of financial services and how the government impacts on these services. Evidence would come
